Laser Tattoo Removal After Care Instructions

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

Here at New Look Laser Tattoo Removal we try to keep all the steps in laser tattoo removal as simple as possible. With the newest technology in tattoo removal lasers, the skin is able to heal fairly quickly and easily. Our clients are back to their normal routines almost immediately so that laser tattoo removal does not interfear with all the more important things we have going on in our lives.

Having said that, the after care instructions are basically a couple steps:

1. Right after your laser treatment, we will put an over the counter antibiotic ointment like Neosporin over the entire lasered area. We will place a bandage on it as well.

2. You will want to keep the area covered with a bandage for three days after your treatment putting neosporin or triple antibiotic cream over the area 2-3 times per day.

3. After the three days are over, leave the area open to the air and do not put any additional antibiotic cream in on it so that it will dry out and heal up more quickly. There is sometimes a temptation to leave it covered for longer but don’t, the air circulation is good for healing.

4. Continue with your normal activities of daily living and return to New Look for your next session at the scheduled time. You are one step closer to having that tattoo removed!
